Tomatoes

BeefSteak 

Classic tomato flavor, named for their large size and meaty texture. They are heavy, reaching weights as high as four pounds, and they range in color from pink, to vibrant red, to orange.

 

Roma

Roma tomatoes are excellent for making sauces, salsas, and canning due to their firm, dense flesh and low water content. They also have fewer seeds than many other tomato varieties and can be enjoyed fresh in salads or on bread. 

 

Red Cherry

Cherry tomatoes are sumptuous for salads or served on toothpicks as appetizers. This tomato plant grows tall, indeterminate vines that provide a bountiful harvest all season. 

 

Rutgers

The plants are beautifully well behaved and compact for an indeterminate variety. Its fruit typically weigh about six ounces, are bright red in color, globular and slightly flattened in shape with smooth, thick walls that are crack resistant. Good for fresh slicing, cooking, juicing, as well as for canning - an excellent all-purpose variety.

 

Homestead

Are reliable, heirloom determinate plants. Developed for heat tolerance and high humidity, making them excellent for Southern gardens. They produce large, 8-ounce, meaty, red, crack-resistant fruits in 70-85 days, ideal for slicing, canning, and sauces. 

 

Big Daddy

Heavy yields of large, 12–15 oz glossy red, meaty fruits with a sweet flavor. are excellent for slicing and sandwiches. 

 

Brandywine Red

Its sandwich-sized fruit can grow up to 1.5 lb and has been described as having a "great tomatoey flavor",offset by an appealing acidity. It has a beefsteak tomato shape, mixed red and deep purple flesh, and can have green shoulders near the stem even when fully ripe.

Peppers

Sweet/Bell California Wonder

One of the oldest and largest heirloom bell pepper available. First introduced by California growers around 1928. Tall, sturdy plants produce good yields of blocky, thick-walled fruits. A delicious green pepper that ripens to a vibrant red. 

 

Emeral Green Giant

A popular heirloom, thick-walled sweet bell pepper introduced in 1963, known for producing heavy yields of large, 4-5 inch long dark green to red, 4-lobed fruits. Ideal for stuffing and salads

 

Orange Sweet

Orange sweet peppers (Capsicum annuum) are vibrant, thick-walled, and exceptionally sweet bell-type peppers, often considered among the best-tasting. They mature from green to a bright orange 

 

Yellow Sweet

Crunchy, mild, and vibrant, reaching full maturity from green to golden-yellow, making them excellent for snacking, roasting, or salads.

Hot Peppers

Habanero

Along with their intense heat, many people describe habanero peppers as having a fruity, floral, and/or smoky undertone. 

There are several varieties of habanero peppers, such as: 

  • Red  Habanero: Known for its intense heat and fruity flavor, this was once the hottest pepper in the world.
  • Orange Habanero: The classic habanero variety with a balance of heat and fruity sweetness; commonly used in sauces and salsas.
  • White Habanero: A rare, smaller variety with intense heat and a slightly tangy, floral flavor.
  • Yellow Habanero: Has a unique mustard-yellow color when ripe, with a moderate heat level and earthy taste.


 

Cayenne Blend

 This variety produces bright red and yellow peppers with a bold, zesty flavor, perfect for cooking, drying, or making hot sauces. Easy to grow and highly productive, these plants thrive in warm weather and provide a steady harvest all season. Pepper Cayenne Blend is an excellent choice for any gardener looking to add homegrown heat to their favorite dishes.

 

Jalapeno

 This is the most popular chile pepper in the United States. Jalapeño produces 3-inch, thick-walled, moderately hot pods with deep green color that matures to a bright red.  Often, the heat of the peppers will vary, even those from the same plant. If peppers grow fast, get plenty of water.

Squash

Butternut / Winter / Waltham

Winter squash gives you the perfect reason to look forward to winter! The rich, sweet flavor of butternut quickly became a classic and has set a high bar. Roast, bake, or purée into a soup for classic winter fare. 4 to 5 fruits per plant.  Plant spacing 3'.
